Duck Story
We have some ducks. Eight ducks live in the pond and we had 3 in a pen behind the garage. We thought we had the pen secured good and everything has been going well for several months. We had a male and two females in the pen. Each female duck had a nest...well a raccoon "somehow" got in and killed one of our females and ate the eggs. We did catch the raccoon in a trap the next night and my husband hauled him off several miles down the road to some woods and released him. Now we are trying to get the two remaining ducks to head down to the pond with the others and they will not go. They just stay at the gate...thinking they can get back in their pen. I am worried something will happen to them, so I lure them into the garage at night and close the door. I will keep trying everyday to get them to head to the pond. I am thinking that the female duck thinks her eggs are still in there and that is why she or her mate will not head down to the pond.
I will let you know how things go.

A Fun Day
My daughter came home today for a weekend visit. It is great to see her and have her here. She will be moving near me during the summer. She is a wonderful daughter. Her name is Carrie.
I got to meet Tony Taylor of the Atlanta Falcons. He use to play for the University of Georgia..which of course is my fav team!! He was a very nice young man. I will download the picture and put it on the site in the future.
We came home and took a nice walk around the neighboorhood.
All in all...a great day.
